What Would You Give the President for His Birthday?
With fights scheduled on the White House South Lawn for Sunday, the Reporter asked residents what they plan to give the President for his birthday.
“My own birthday. I’ve been using it since 1960 and I think he’d get more out of it. He’d have two, which is what he deserves, and I’ll just be born whenever there’s an opening.”
Roberta Stahl, 66 Retired school bus driver “A second June 14. February isn’t using all its days anyway. We take one from there, we wrap it, and nobody in February will even notice.”
Curtis Ambrose, 49 HVAC technician “It’s also Flag Day, so I’m sewing him a flag bigger than the flag. It’s currently the size of Ohio and I have had to ask Ohio to move.”
Lacey Thornburg, 34 Dental hygienist “My lawn. Not the grass, the whole lawn, deed and all. I hear the one at the White House is about to have a very big night, and a man should have a backup lawn.”
Vernon Szabo, 72 Retired insurance agent “A cake in the shape of a larger cake. Inside that one is a ballroom, and inside the ballroom is a cake in the shape of him. I’ve been working on it since March and I am not allowed in my kitchen anymore.”
