With the Nobel Peace Prize to be announced Friday, the Reporter asked residents which honor the President should receive next.
“All six Nobel Prizes, at once. They can make a seventh one for him to give to himself, because who else would be qualified to present it?”
Darryl Weathersby, 63 Retired tool and die maker “The Heisman. He never played college football, which shows you how natural it is for him.”
Sherry Pankow, 55 Real estate office manager “Best Supporting Actress. He’s supported more people than any actress I know of, and nobody’s even nominated him.”
Lyle Goodnough, 71 Retired postal carrier “Employee of the Month. Every month. Retroactively, back to whenever months started.”
Candace Rourke, 48 Dental hygienist “The Stanley Cup. I don’t follow hockey, but I believe in him, and I think the Cup would want to be with someone like that.”
Russ Engebretson, 59 Grain elevator operator
