What Should the Newly Merged Movie Studio Make First?
After Paramount completed its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery this week, the Reporter asked residents what the combined studio should make first.
“A movie where two studios fall in love, get married, and then one of them has to pay $110 billion. I’d watch that. I think I already am.”
Denise Arrowood, 47 Pharmacy technician “Honestly, a list. Just a list of what they own now. I’d like to know which of my childhood belongs to who.”
Theo Lindahl, 33 HVAC installer “I’d like one movie that’s under two hours. They can merge whatever they want after that.”
Patsy Haldane, 71 Retired school secretary “Every sequel to every movie at the same time, so we can get it over with.”
Omar Villaseñor, 26 Line cook “Popcorn. They have the money now. Make it free. That’s the only merger I’d notice.”
