Is a Hot Dog a Sandwich, and Have You Been Contacted About It?
Ahead of the Fourth of July weekend, the Reporter asked residents whether a hot dog is a sandwich, and whether anyone has reached out to them regarding their position.
“It is not a sandwich. A man with a clipboard came to my door in May to confirm that, and I told him, and he’s been parked across the street ever since.”
Rodney Fairbanks, 63 Retired meat cutter “I got a letter that said ‘Re: Your Position on the Hot Dog’ and asked me to preserve all relevant documents. I’ve been keeping the buns in a fire safe.”
Jessica Moorcroft, 29 Paralegal “It’s a taco. I’ve said so on three CB channels, and I got hung up on three times, which you can’t even do on a CB.”
Tomás Echeverría, 41 Long-haul trucker “I was contacted in 2019 and told to sit tight. I’ve been sitting tight. Nobody has come back, and I’m starting to think I’m the sandwich.”
