The Presidential Golf Tracker

A permanent record, maintained by the Center for Measured Outcomes, of how much time each president has spent not having time for golf.

The Center for Measured Outcomes maintains this tracker as a public service. It counts what the record supports and marks what it does not. The most recent entry, the current term, is still in progress and grows as the trackers update.

Solid bar: the low count. Lighter extension: the highest count any source reported. Counts are unofficial. The Center counts every reported golf day as a round. As of Oct. 11, 2026.

Each line runs from inauguration to the end of the term (or today, for the current term). Solid line: low count. Dashed line: highest count. The sources give totals, not dated game logs, so each line shows the term's average pace. Every reported golf day is counted as a round. Biden is not plotted because no full-term count exists.

Methodology

What counts. Everything is a round. Where a source reports rounds, the Center uses them. Where a source reports golf days, the Center counts each day as a round, and the row says so. The Center regards the distinction as “not one it has been asked to make.”

Why the ranges. Presidential golf is not officially logged. Totals come from press-pool tallies, memoirs, newspaper archives, and independent trackers that define “played” differently. Where sources disagree, the low and high figures are both shown.

Why the hatched bars. Where no reliable public count exists, the Center declines to estimate. It notes that the absence of a record is not evidence of the absence of golf.

Corrections. Send a sourced figure to the address on the Contact page. The Center reviews submissions “as the schedule allows,” which on most days it does not.
